How To Order a Pizza on the Healthy Side!

tulsapizzaPizza is probably not one of the healthiest foods but you can order it and make it healthier by what you put on it.  Most of us love pizza and we’re not going to stop eating it so we might as well make it as healthy as we can for ourselves.  I think football season is when my household orders pizza the most.

Here are some of those ways:

1.  Eat fruits, vegies, or nuts before the pizza.

2.  Skip the side of breadsticks or at least limit yourself to one (I know, hard to do).

3.  Don’t order the extra cheese, the lighter the cheese the better.

4.  Pat your slices of pizza with napkin to soak up excess fat.

5.  Choose shrimp or grilled chicken for topping (or Canadian bacon if you don’t like that).

6.  Load pizza up with vegetables.

7.  Go with thin crust (less calories) and some even have whole-wheat crusts now.

Hope this helps, it can’t hurt!
